Mission: Scarlet Stars is a free-to-play Visual Novel inspired by mystery games such as Danganronpa & the Ace Attorney series, along with elements from games with similar setups such as Your Turn To Die and the Zero Escape series; with regards to its status as a Danganronpa fangame, M:SS is set in its own universe with an entirely separate story & mechanics to that of the canon games. While certain elements of the canon games may be carried over as and when they fit the story
